KaPow Kitty

  • Each year we will host a KaPow Adventure Outing for the entire KaPow Hockey Klub funded by the KaPow Kitty!
  • Opportunities to raise money for the Kitty: Mid-Atlantic Premiership concession stand and one fundraiser during the season.

Team Selection Procedure

  • KaPow Play Day: 2-day Play Day exclusive to KaPow Klub players for team selection during the first week of December.
  • Based upon Play Day evaluations, each player will be assigned to either the A, B, or C level group within her age group based on skill level. Within each of these groups, two coaches will then form two teams through a process of alternating draft selections. The coach's choices will be made on the basis of the player's position, skill level, team chemistry, and other factors.
  • Each player will enter the first training session (December 6th) assigned to a team on which she will play for the season.

KaPow Attendance Policy

Your success, and the Klub’s, depends upon attending all of the practice sessions and events. Joining KaPow Hockey Klub means that you are serious about reaching your full potential, on and off the hockey court. We understand that emergencies arise from time to time, but absences should be held to an absolute minimum.

Each KaPow player is permitted a maximum of two (2) absences during the season. If you are unable to attend a scheduled function, it is your responsibility to notify your coach immediately with reason for absence. Additional absences will result in reduced playing time in competitive events and will be at the discretion of your coach. If your absence is an extraordinary situation, you may petition your coach or the KaPow Directors for special consideration.

KaPow Tournament Philosophy

We love to win. But we also believe in teamwork and fair play. We believe that every KaPow member deserves her fair share of playing time at our competitive events. To us, it's important that when we win, we win as a team. A team member's playing time will only be reduced as a result of breaking the Attendance Policy, lack of effort, or other disciplinary matters as determined by the coach.
