Natty Championship's Game #1

Hello from Virginia Beach!   What a different world it is down here.  I almost forgot how humid it actually gets down south in the summer time!    It is quite the shock to the system.   But, we have our first game tonight of the week long Women's National Championships.   What a better way to start the tournament than to play my beloved partner in crime Kayla Bashore!!     It is always an interesting game when we play each other :)

It is off to go do the pre-game rituals and then game time!   Hope all is well, keep hydrated in this heat!

Driving Back East!!

Hello from Tucson AZ!

After our first 6 hour drive,  Barb, Caroline, and I are gearing up for the next 15 hour jaunt to Dallas, TX!   Our plan was to get out of the door by 7:00 AM, so we would end up there by 10:00 PM, however as I write this it is now 7:20 AM and Barb & Caroline are just getting there cereal for the morning, looks like we didn't hit the mark....woops!

Our first night had absolutely beautiful sunset behind a huge mountain range as we drove away from the West.  I can't wait to see what today may bring :)   Hopefully soon I will get Barb or Caroline to make a guest Blog entry!!

Thats all for now, time to hit the road!

One More Week in Sunny SD...

It has been an interesting month out here in the sunny land of San Diego.   What most people don't know is that "May Gray" and "June Gloom" are actually considered one of the seasons of this temperate land.  Each morning and night it is actually extremely cloudy/chilly weather, something not so typical of this area.  Yesterday, it even went as far as to rain for almost an hour of two!

When Kayla and I first moved out to San Diego,  one of the first things we did was shop downtown and check out the city.   It was a bit cloudy out and started to drizzle a little, but of course we didn't think twice about it.  We realized quickly that this wasn't the typical thought process of most San Diegans.   As we ventured into different stores, the workers would continuously say "I can't believe you are out in this weather!!"

With cars sliding off the roads, and people staying in their warm home watching movies, I've come to realize that "May Gray" and "June Gloom"  has now become my new winter season.   Oh how I miss the East Coast sometimes!!!
